Nielsen Holdings NV (NYSE: NLSN), the global leader in media information and trade shows and expositions, has named Lauren Wendle the Vice President of its newly expanded Nielsen Photo Group.
The announcement follows Nielsen's recent acquisition of Rangefinder Inc., publisher of Rangefinder and AfterCapture magazines, and owner of the Wedding and Portrait Photography International (WPPI) trade show and convention.
As vice president, Lauren Wendle will oversee and manage all properties under the Nielsen Photo Group and set a new direction for industry expansion through its existing titles and new business opportunities worldwide. The key to Nielsen's corporate vision and expansion, according to Ms. Wendle, is having a team of professionals who share the same vision and bring a unique level of industry knowledge and know-how.
As part of its continued initiative to expand its core trade show portfolio and provide photographers, enthusiasts, and manufacturers with new growth opportunities, Nielsen has announced the first annual PDN Outdoor Photo Expo to be held August 4-5 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The shares of the company are trading at $25.88, up 1.97 percent.
