Afternoon Movers: AAPL, CRUS, SLRY, AMPH, JOSB

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) rose more than 2% in afternoon trading after the company unveiled a host of product updates, including a new line of iPod media players. The company also launched a new $99 Apple TV device that can deliver 99-cent rentals of TV shows over the Internet. 

Shares of Cirrus Logic Inc. (NASDAQ: CRUS) rallied more than 8% on speculation that the company could be a takeover target.

Salary.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLRY) soared more than 43% on Wednesday after it agreed to be acquired by Kenexa Corporation (NASDAQ: KNXA) for $4.07 per share, or approximately $80 million. 

American Physicians Service Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMPH) jumped more than 22% after it agreed to be bought by ProAssurance Corporation (NYSE: PRA) in an all-cash transaction for $32.50 per share. 

Shares of Jos. A Bank Clothiers Inc. (NASDAQ: JOSB) surged more than 11% after the company reported that its fiscal second-quarter profit jumped 32 percent, topping Wall Street forecasts, as revenue grew 12 percent.
