The Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday that Sanofi-Aventis SA Chief Executive Officer Chris Viehbacher has support from his board of directors to offer as much as $18.7 billion or $70 per share for the biotechnology firm.
Ball Corporation (NYSE: BLL): Shares of the company reached a new 52-week high of $58.98 on Thursday. Ball Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, supplies metal and plastic packaging to the beverage, food, and household products industries worldwide.
