The company reported net income of $51.9 million, or 70 cents during the period, better than analysts’ estimate of 64 cents per share. Shares added 9.84 percent or $2.07 to trade at $23.10.
Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTT) slipped to a new 52-week low of $3.45 with a trading volume of 67 thousand shares. The company announced that its first utility-scale PowerBuoy device, the PB150 has produced better-than-expected results from tests of the Scottish coast. Shares added 3.16 percent or 11 cents to trade at $3.59.
